Napa Boot Camp, Sonoma, St. Helena, fitness Napa California, Napa California workout, Napa boot camp for women Napa Sonoma St. Helena Adventure Boot Camp Common Questions

When are classes offered?  What does camp consist of?

Napa/Sonoma/St. Helena Boot Camp offers 1-hour workouts and 30-minute express workouts for busy professionals that run Monday-Friday depending on the location. We offer 4 convenient training locations: Napa: Silverado Middle School, Skyline Park, Sonoma: Hanna Boys Center, St. Helena: Crane Park. All campers are able to select the class time and location that fits their schedule best. Below is a list of our current bootcamp offerings:

Napa – Silverado Middle School:
5:30 am to 6:30 am – Monday-Friday
6:45 am to 7:15 am – Monday/Wednesday/Friday
6:00 pm to 7:00 pm – Monday-Friday
Napa – Skyline Park
9:00 am to 10:00 am – Monday – Friday
Sonoma – Hanna Boys Center
5:30 am to 6:30 am – Monday-Friday
9:00 am to 10:00 am – Monday/Wednesday/Friday
St. Helena – Crane Park
6:00 am to 7:00 am – Monday/ Wednesday/Friday
Arrival Time: Each boot camp instructor will arrive on location 15 minutes before the official start of the workout. Campers are expected to use this time to go through their own personal improvement routine. This is also time to discuss any questions, comments, or concerns with the on-site trainer before the start of the workout.
Please know that our main focus is keeping our campers safe and healthy. Thus, each class begins with a complete, state-of-the-art warm-up emphasizing mobility and activation to best prevent unwanted injury and to allow for a more effective workout. Thus, late arrivals will not be allowed to workout without a proper warm-up. Campers who are chronically tardy will be subject to membership suspension or termination on a case-by-case basis.
Departure Time: Each boot camp instructor will remain for up to 15 minutes past the official start of each workout- an extra 10-15 minutes following the completion of each 30-minute session to address any remaining personal questions or concerns.
Campers are also highly encouraged to use this time to perform their post-workout routine consisting of corrective stretching and self-massage to best prevent nagging aches and pains and reduce soreness between workouts. However, this program caters to busy professionals, and we do understand if you need to leave immediately at the end of each workout. In this case, campers are expected to perform their post-workout routines at another time for best results.
How does the 1-week free trial process work?
Napa/ Sonoma/ St. Helena Adventure Boot Camp is an invite-only membership program. We use the 1-week tryout to assess if our program is the right long-term fit for each trial member. If you are in fact invited to join our exclusive program you will have the ability to choose from several membership options based on your current schedule and budget.
Trials are currently offered in the first and third week of each phase of boot camp out of fairness to current members. All trial members must complete and submit an initial boot camp registration prior to the outlined registration deadline before each phase of boot camp.
Lastly, all interested trial members must attend a mandatory initial boot camp orientation. This orientation is meant to assess the current fitness level of each new trial member and answer any questions or concerns prior to the first workout of the new phase of camp.

How do I get invited into the program?

During the one-week trial, we expect each trial member to attend a minimum of 3 workouts. This shows us that you are serious about getting results.
However, attendance alone does not guarantee an invite to our program. We want to see that you are having fun and are bringing positive energy to the group. We are also looking for very motivated  individuals who are coachable and ready for change.
Bottom line- if you make as many workouts as you can, work hard, and bring a positive mental attitude, you will put yourself in the best position to gain admittance to our program.
Note: If you have received a specific membership giveaway through a charity event or some other special promotion, the invite process will not apply until the end of this extended trial.

How much does the program cost?

Napa/ Sonoma/ St. Helena Adventure Boot Camp is a monthly membership program. Campers are required to commit to a 3, 6, or 12-month billing agreement at a membership level that best caters to their schedule, goals and budget as outlined below. Please note the big savings on our boot camp package offerings that are provided to campers who sign-up for a 12-month billing agreement:

 Will I be sore sometimes?

Most people feel some soreness for the first 2-3 days. After that point, it is slight to moderate. It's part of the process that lets you improve! Please view our blog for more on this topic: http://nvabc1.bravejournal.com/index.php (see 11/27/07)

What kinds of people go to camp?

They are people just like you. Someone that has tried everything else and still hasn't found what they are looking for.  Moms, dads, busy executives, police, fire, athletes, grandparents, military, teens, fit, not so fit and many more.

What is a typical day like at camp?
That's difficult to say since each day is intentionally different to alleviate boredom. You can expect some light running, weight training, obstacle courses, core training and jumping rope each week. On special days, you will go hiking. It's always an adventure, and you'll always have fun! We teach you a great deal about proper form and "core stability."

How soon will I see results?

What is your level of committment.  How much are you willing to change your nutrition and form new healthier habits?

Performance improvement can take place in as little as three days. "Visual Improvement" can take from two to four weeks depending on your effort level. It's becoming common to see a camper go down 1-2 dresses sizes within the first camp . Remember, everyone is different!

What do I bring to class?

Each camper is expected to bring the follow items to each workout:
- Water (sugary sports drinks and flavored waters do not help with your fat loss)
- Your own exercise mat
- Your own dumbbells. (We recommend women start with 5-8 pounds and men 10-15 pounds.)
- A foam roller, tennis ball, and/or massage stick

What do I wear to class?

You should wear comfortable, breathable clothing. Please make sure to wear clothing that is not too big- we need to see your body move at different joint positions during the workout so we can best assess your form and technique and make the necessary corrections.
In addition, please wear shoes that are designated for athletic purposes- often referred to as running or cross-training shoes. (As a member you will receive a 15% discount coupon for the Napa Running Company) Please feel free to ask your on-site trainer for his/her recommendations for proper footwear for boot camp workouts.

How do I receive updates, emails, etc?

All campers will be provided with a welcome folder at the initial boot camp orientation. Your name will be automatically added to our email list so that you will receive all boot camp updates. We usually update 1 time per week.

How does nutrition factor into the program?

Our goal is not to overwhelm, but rather to ease you into adopting healthier dietary habits for long-term success. All trial members will receive a complimentary nutrition quick-start plan that will provide basic introductory nutrition guidelines to get the ball rolling in the right direction.
At the end of the trial period, all new paying members will be eligible for our monthly grocery store tour and nutrition seminar. It is here where we will explain the tenets of sound nutrition for optimal health, performance, and body composition.
In addition, new paying members will be provided with The Carb Rotation Diet from Registered Dietician Jayson Hunter consisting of monthly updated done-for-you belly fat-burning meal plans available for instant download at our Ning members-only site at www.napabootcamp.ning.com
